City survey · revised 2026
The city grew around the river bend
Twelve working districts, one civic park. Nothing here is a rectangle: every boundary follows a street, the railway or the water, and each neighbourhood keeps its own street angle — which is why the blocks never line up across the city.
Click any live district to start that game's shift. Hatched parcels are surveyed and waiting.
🗺️ What is on each parcel
The survey is the source of truth: a parcel's contents, its game, its career and its colour are fixed here. New districts take the next surveyed parcel and inherit its neighbours, camera and palette.
| Parcel | What is in it | Game | Career |
|---|---|---|---|
| Metro Quarter A1 · district | Elevated station on the north railway, twin tracks running west out of the city, 3–4 storey apartment terraces in two rows, a small tree-lined forecourt. | Metro Merge | Dispatcher |
| City Hall Square B1 · district | Clock-tower city hall on a stepped plinth facing a circular stone plaza with a fountain; food trucks and a shop row along the eastern edge. | City Hall Tycoon | Treasurer |
| Skyline Yard C1 · district | Two tower cranes over a half-built glass tower wrapped in scaffolding, stacked pallets and site hoarding along the street. | Skyline Drop | Architect |
| Grid Heights A3 · district | Pitched-roof terraces in two stepped rows above the river, a back-alley service road and street lamps that stay on when the grid fails. | Grid Blackout | Grid Engineer |
| Rush Hour Crossing B3 · district | Four-arm roundabout with a planted island, traffic lights on every arm, taxis and buses queuing on all approaches. | Rush Hour | Cab Driver |
| Demolition Yard C3 · district | Two brick warehouses with sawtooth roofs, a half-collapsed shed, a wrecking-ball crane and a new glass tower going up beside the bridge. | Demolition Crew | Demolisher |
| Night Market B2 · district | A late-night food street between City Hall Square and Rush Hour Crossing. The ovens here never actually go cold. | Night Shift Bakery | Baker |
| Northgate Row A4 · district | Terraced streets beyond the north railway, leaf-fall season, endless kerbside to sweep clean before the morning train. | Street Sweeper | Sanitation Worker |
| West Market A2 · district | Low-rise market blocks west of the metro viaduct, now ringed by a civic parking lot that jams solid every Saturday. | Parking Patrol | Parking Officer |
| Canal Works C2 · district | Wharf and warehouse strip on the canal mouth. The water mains here predate the census — someone has to keep them routed. | Fountain Fix | Utility Worker |
| Signal Hill B4 · district | Studios and offices east of the demolition yard, crowned by the city's oldest traffic signal box. Still manual. Still one person's job. | Signal Sync | Traffic Controller |
| Southbank Crossing C4 · district | Reserved land across the river bridge — now under construction, one girder and one budget line at a time. | Bridge Builder | Civil Engineer |
| Civic Park P · civic | The green heart of the city: a pond, winding footpaths and the metro loop surfacing at its northern edge. Every district is one stop away. | Civic space | — |
📐 Rules every drawing follows
- One camera. Isometric, 30° down, north at the top-right. The sun always comes from the south-west, so shadows fall to the upper-right.
- One scale. A row house is 1 unit tall, an office floor 1.4, a tower crane 4. Streets are 2 units wide with 0.4-unit pavements.
- One palette. Cream paper ground, deep-ink outlines, one accent per district: Metro coral, Hall amber, Yard violet, Heights teal, Crossing blue, Demolition brick red.
- One roof language. Flat roofs with parapets everywhere; only Grid Heights gets pitched roofs — that is how you read the housing quarter.
- Fixed geography. The river runs along the south and turns north at the east bridge; the railway cuts the north edge; the ring road circles City Hall and the park. Metro Quarter is always west of City Hall, Skyline Yard always east.
- Organic growth. Boundaries follow a street or the water — never a survey grid. A new district takes the next hatched parcel, gets one unused accent, and may not move an existing one.
